This is a really simple recipe and you only need to add a few extra ingredients to the basic recipe. Remember, this is a recipe WITHOUT cream of tartar because I know that many people don't always have that particular ingredient lying around. This is a 100% nontoxic playdough recipe, so no worried if your toddler decides to try and taste it!
Just gather up:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 teaspoons white vinegar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
food coloring(either green or blue and yellow mixed together)
Note: the dough will still be slightly sticky when it is time to take it out of the pan.
Remove from the heat and knead it all together until it is well incorporated.
Allow it to cool and get to playing!
Simple and fun!

DeleteThis is SO great!!! The one thing I don't like about homemade play dough is that it sometimes has a stinkyness. And it'll probably discourage my DD from eating cookie dough, which smells so good, if she tastes this and it tastes BAD!!
ReplyDeletehaha! That certainly might be a deterrent.
DeleteI love this idea! I will definitely have to make this for my daughter. Thanks for sharing!
