The Love Dare: Day Nineteen

Day Nineteen
Ask God to show you where you stand with Him, and ask for the strength and grace to settle your eternal destination.

Love is impossible.
"Let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."
1 John 4:7

This dare is more about me as an individual. It goes back to fixing yourself first before worrying about your mate AND allowing God to be the one to change them. A person cannot give that agape, truly unconditional love without God's help. It's impossible for us mere humans, we need divine intervention.

I've been having many more heart to heart conversations with God lately. I ask Him to show me my own character flaws so that I may know what I need to work on to do my part in my marriage relationship. I go to Him when I'm frustrated because I have had a bad day and feel like a failure when it comes to being a godly wife. I talk to Him about how I need patience or help holding my tongue or being submissive. I turn to Him for everything. I don't always get the answer I want, but I do always get the answers I need.

"For a shield from the storm;
For a friend; for a love
To keep me safe and warm,
I turn to you.
For the strength to be strong;
For the will to carry on;
For everything you do;
For everything that's true,
I turn to you. "
